I do not have video yet, someone should have it, sooner or later.
But Keith Olbermann just did something to piss off Chris Matthews! and Matthews told Keith Olbermann off for it.
Something about a sound…
Did anyone else see it?
Comments PLEASE!
Video coming, as soon as I find it.
Stay tuned.
Update: Commenter Wes points to a Blog posting:

Just got back from walking the dog. Amy has paused a segment on MSNBC where Chris Matthews gets snippy with co-host Keith Olbermann. This is classic. Apparently Olbermann was making fun of a long-winded diatribe by Matthews, and Chris just got testy with him right on the air.”Here’s what happened, as far as I could tell. Matthews was going on and on about women feeling passed over because of Clinton’s loss. He was getting awfully sentimental. Then the producer apparently tried to get him to wrap it up, because he said “I’ll wrap it in a second, this is important” or something like that. So he goes on again and Olbermann starts the segue with some reference to the bloviation of “pundits like us” — which sounded like typical Keith self-deprecation, but I think Matthews took it as directed at him.
Interesting…. Still looking for video of it.
Update #2: Gawker now has video of it.
Update #3: Memeorandum finally picks it up. I one of the firsts who blogged on it!
Update #4: and now we have video: (H/T Newsbusters)
This is why I need a good video capture system!

I did a little search to see if anyone else caught this — think you’re the first to post on it. Matthews said something like “don’t make that sound Keith; I believe it and I said it”; really odd
Okay, see the reason I posted this, was I wasn’t paying attention, I was reading something and the TV is behind me and I tuned out. So, I’m wondering what was said, and what Keith Did.
I’m convinced Matthews is drunk. He’s getting unusually sentimental, even for him, his hair is disheveled, and there have been several other odd moments: just now, he rambled on about how your enemy can be your best friend in politics for uniting your base, then somehow related that to country; Olbermann: silent, then “wow, that’s too profound even for me to …” Chris: “common, this is your country”
Yep, saw it and Matthews was in the wrong there! Big time. Keith didn’t mean anything by it. Chris blew up!
Now I know that isn’t true. Chris used to drink, quite heavily. He quit, due to health reasons. I think that’s just his way.
Now this would not surprise me in the least. Keith is a liberal. and sometimes he can be a goof and I think Chris sometimes takes it all a bit too seriously.
It could have been a misunderstanding.

Wow. See what happens when I don’t pay attention?
Can somebody post the video of this….I got online after I saw it live….can’t wait to see it again.
(haven’t been to find it….yet! -Pat)
Keith has been patronizing Chris for a while now. His not so subtle cuts at Chris have been apparent for a while and Chris stood his ground. Passion has its place in politics. What are we autonotomos folks!
Gawker has video: http://gawker.com/5042256/msnbc-anchors-at-each-others-throats-again
I was hoping for a Jim Rome moment with Olbermann being on the receiving end. Those two girls deserve each other but Olbermann is the worst example of being able to dish it out yet not being able to take it. Next time, a right to the snot locker, Chris!
(*snicker* -Pat)
saw it and looked online to see if anyone else noticed.
just before he said that, i noticed his hair and demeanor and thought ’someone needs to comb his hair and check his blood sugar’. a relative of mine, a diabetic, often gets emotional and rambles on when level is low — and can appear drunk. a possibility, given he’s a diabetic.
Keith Olbermann is without a doubt the biggest jerk on television today. His ratings prove what a disaster his show is.Not to mention his obvious bias.Which is fine, just be honest about your bias. (stupid insult deleted)
(Tim, Good comment, insult was not needed…. so, I deleted it… -Pat)
[...] Anyway, I was delighted to do a Google blog search to find that someone else had noticed this and immediately written about it: http://www.politicalbyline.com/2008/08/26/chris-matthews-just-jumped-on-keith-olbermann-on-the-air/ [...]
