Brutally Honest: I have lost all faith in the Republican brand

I have held off on Blogging about the recent events here in the election. Partially because of personal reasons, I was a bit busy doing some other stuff with my family and partially because I quite honestly have no defense for what I see as just abject and absolute racism and the stoking of racial hatred in this country, by the party that claims to be the party that liberated blacks from slavery.

Whether the Republican Party or the Conservatives want to admit this or not, but Sarah Palin is doing nothing more than bringing shame to the Republican Party. With her attempting to paint Barack Obama as some sort of terrorist, her allowing and even encouraging people to accuse him of treason and even allowing someone to utter a death threats aloud. I will say this, and if anyone wants to try to paint me as a Liberal, feel free, I just do not care anymore, The Republican Party that I am seeing right before my eyes, is not the Republican Party that I remember as a young boy. This crap is not the Ronald Reagan conservatism that I grew up admiring and respecting. As far as I am concerned, the Republican Party has become a Ku Klux Klan without the robes.

I believe that it is fair and very important to note, that Sarah Palin has ties to terrorism too. Her Pastor was and still is a terrorist by the Bush Administration’s definition. Before he became the Pastor of Wasilla Assembly of God, which she attended for many years, Pastor Thomas Muthee was a missionary to the country of Africa, while there; he decided that there was a local woman in the town of Kiambu, of the name “Mama Jane” who was by his own definition “A Witch.”

Eventually, after repeated harassment by the local law enforcement there, she fled the town. Furthermore, Sarah Palin’s own husband was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, until 2002, of whom its founder, Joe Vogler said, “I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions.” Joe Vogler was killed in 1993 he is buried in Canada.

Therefore, having said all the above, it is apparent to this writer; that Sarah Palin is nothing more than an abject hypocrite. By her and her party’s definition of “Terrorist,” she is guilty of the very same charges.

I am sorry to say this, but if John McCain continues to allow this sort of nonsense to continue in his campaign, especially when the Nation’s economy is in the damned toilet. When our stock market and financial institutions are being propped up by the United States Government due to a lack of regulation, which was caused by the utter incompetent of one political party and the inaction of another that was in the majority for over 6 years. If John McCain allows this sort of idiotic nonsense to continue, the Republican Party is going to lose and lose very hard, come this election in November.

  1. Why isn’t more being said about the facts of “socialism”. Not only does oboma want to nationalize most of americas’ top companies, he will probably want to nationalize everthing else…next will be professional sports, then all of those jocks will earn less too, just like his plan for the CEO bussiness men and women.

(What does this have to do with what I wrote? -Pat)

  2. Mr. Libertarian Paleo-Conservative. I don’t want to be overly critical here, but I am struggling to figure out what is paleo-conservative about this post. From a paleo standpoint (radical decentralist) the fact that Todd Palin was a member of the AIP is a good thing, isn’t it? Every conservative Alaskan should be. Every patriotic American should consider themselves a citizen of their state first and America second. This is clearly the way it was before Lincoln’s invasion of the South. There is a famous quote from Lee to this effect. And few things should make paleos happier than if there were an independence party in every state in the Union.

And what is with the KKK reference? No self-respecting paleo should play the racism card. Liberals and neocons do that.

Are you sure you know what a paleocon is?

This is no apology for Palin, but Palin’s problem is that she abandoned any pretence of paleoism she may have once had and has now embraced neoconservatism without seeming reservation.

If you are criticizing only her hypocrisy and not endorsing, for example, the idea that being a member of the AIP is somehow a bad thing, then you need to make that more clear. Casually dropping the KKK slur is inexcusable.

  3. Well, Sir, think what you wish. But I cannot defend, nor can I accept that fact, that a Republican Candidate would stand there and allow, or even condone someone who would call Barack Obama a terrorist, Accuse him of treason, or have someone shout “KILL HIM!”, and say they’re representing the Republican Party.

As far as I am concerned, when things like that are being said, the Republican Party has served hard into Klan Territory and sir, that is wrong.

  4. To be clear, I am no supporter of the GOP. I support Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution Party. I hate the way the GOP and its candidates at all levels demagogue the troops issue. As if any opposition to the war or our tactics is an indictment of the troops. But neither Palin nor McCain accused Obama of treason, and I am not sure how they are supposed to be responsible for what is yelled from the crowd. That the current political climate has turned into an us against them shouting match despite very few real differences on the issues is regrettable, but is equally the fault of both parties. (The Huffington Post is just as bad on the left.) It is natural that it descends to this kind of silliness and triviality because they don’t significantly disagree on most issues. It is not at all unique to Palin or the GOP. They have certainly veered into demagogue territory (shocker!), but I really have no idea what the Klan has to do with it. Would they not have done the same thing if white Hillary was the nominee? In a political conversation that is already paralyzed by political correctness, why should self-identified conservatives be irresponsibly throwing fuel on that fire?

I really am still scratching my head about the AIP reference. I think paleos would almost unanimously support Alaskan and any other state’s independence. Those who don’t are generally nationalists, not paleos.

  5. Hello Again Filmer… Thanks for coming back… and know that I harbor no ill will at all.

    You said:

I highly doubt it, Oh, they’d be after her. But I don’t think it would be with the fierceness that it is being done towards Obama. I believe he’s getting it from the Republicans/Neo-Conservatives because he is a Liberal and even more fiercely, because he is black. That is what I have an issue with. There’s a difference between saying, “Hey he’s a liberal, Hey, he’s a socialist.” It is another entirely to accuse a man of being a terrorist because of his skin color and because he has a funny middle name.

I really am still scratching my head about the AIP reference. I think paleos would almost unanimously support Alaskan and any other state’s independence. Those who don’t are generally nationalists, not paleos.

Can I be perfectly blunt with you? I’d like to see Hawaii and Alaska be returned as Independent territories or Countries. The only reason those two are still states is because we have military interests in Hawaii and I believe still in Alaska. Only reason we added Alaska is because of the threat of soviet invasion, during the cold war. and Hawaii because of the guilt of the Japanese attack on pearl harbor, Hawaii was a independent Republic at the time. Seeing neither of these are a threat, we should return these states to their prior status’s.

Of course, the Neo-Conservatives know that we are into the resources up there, and they won’t let Alaska go. Thus the anger of the AIP group. Hawaii Won’t ever go back as long as Pearl Harbor is being used as an active base.

Anyhow, I’m glad you spoke up, as I did want to make my self clear on this, a bit more. 🙂

  6. I think using his middle name is incredibly cheesy, but I don’t think the terrorism stuff has to do with his skin color. It has to do with his association with Ayers.

  7. It does, but it is how it is perceived by black America, is what is the problem. Of course, the Norm Podhartz Army’s (Neo-Cons) attitude is “who cares what blacks think”? They’d say niggers, by they’re to refined for that. 🙄
