While I in no way would attempt to excuse a threat on another’s life, whitehouse.com is not a governmental agency at all. It used to be an “adult” site. Now it’s a clearinghouse for political stories, surveys, etc.
I doubt that the enforcement agencies mentioned would take too much notice of the email address as a spoof.
Now that you mention it, you’re correct. But the IP is not. It is a legit site.
