The Democrats did not get control of the Congress until 2006 my dear....and even then they still did not have enough votes to accomplish what they intended to do. from 2003 till 2006. The Republican Majority in Congress could have stopped the Economic meltdown that is now happening back then, they choose not to do so. They are just as much to blame as Democrats. The Democrats did not get control of the Congress until 2006 my dear….and even then they still did not have enough votes to accomplish what they intended to do. from 2003 till 2006. The Republican Majority in Congress could have stopped the Economic meltdown that is now happening back then, they choose not to do so. They are just as much to blame as Democrats. Come on, now. Don't be silly. Bush only had 4 years with the Republican party, and he NEVER had control with CONSERVATIVES.
