My Ron Paul Mea Maxima CulpaBy Paleo Pat, on December 22nd, 2008
It is not every day that I issue a rather strongly worded statement such as this. I am much set in my way of thinking; in other words my political ideology is pretty much set. After realizing that the Democratic Party was no longer the Party of principles, I sought out different political grounds. During this election cycle, I voted what I felt was my true political principles; this is why I cast my lot for the libertarian candidate for president, Bob Barr. It was during this election cycle that I always would see and hear about Ron Paul and his many legions of supporters. I did not know much about Ron Paul, except for the fact that he was a Representative from Texas. I did know, however, how the Neo-Conservatives and the Republican establishment treated Ron Paul and I did not think it was deserved. However, I was not too much aware of how much that I agreed with Representative Paul on the various political issues. Therefore, I mostly avoided directly supporting Ron Paul during the election. I had wanted to get Ron Paul’s book for a long time, I just never was able to afford the book, and when I could afford it, something else always seemed to come up; that all changed here a few days ago; A very nice young man, by the name of Ryan. Who provides me with free hosting for my Blog; mainly I think because the kid, (He is 17, I am 36) feels sorry for me or because the young man likes cheap entertainment; bought me a copy of “The Revolution – A Manifesto,” For Christmas. The strange part is; I have never met this young man, at all. Anyhow, I finished this book today. Did I agree 100% with everything in the book? Look, I am going to be straight with you all. I agreed with 99.99% of the stuff in the book. But I am going to tell you think this here; if the G.O.P. does not take a serious look at the things written in this book, especially the parts about foreign policy, the Republican Party is going to become an endangered species in a bad way. I used to say that Ron Paul was a Reagan Conservative; the truth is that he is much more than that. Ronald Reagan never even came close to what Ron Paul teaches in that book, not his best day. Further, I also believe that the United States Government needs to take a serious look at the book as well. Notably the parts, in the book, that talks about foreign aid, the Federal Reserve, Spending, and Taxes. Although seeing who was elected President, I think I might have a better chance of being struck by lightning, while riding a hippo in a snowstorm in Hawaii, than I do seeing the Obama Administration reading Ron Paul’s Book. You can also see why I never made it as a comedian too. In closing, let me simply say this; Ron Paul is, as far this writer is concerned the Barry Goldwater of the 21 century. 30 years from now, when the Republican Party finally awakens from the Neo-Conservative stupor that it is suffering from now and a leader arises in that party and begins to preach the values of what is known as the “Old Right.” If by chance is able to overcome the obstacles that the Liberals throw at him and his able to defeat the Liberal Media smear machine. If he can be elected, we who have read Ron Paul’s writings and have supported Ron Paul can say to ourselves; Ron Paul won the election, it just took this many years to count the votes. Texas Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn will be surprised to find out that Ron Paul is serving as a Senator from Texas also.
D’oh! He is a Representative! ooops!
I fixed it, thanks.
Great article. It makes me so happy when we have another patriot join us.
Thanks Mike. I just wish he had not thrown his support behind Chuck Baldwin. I did not like Balwin’s support Jerome Corsi. That made me very angry.

Corsi is a truther nut. But Ron Paul was also on Alex Jones show many times. Yeah, Paul looks really good… until you see how deep the rabbit hole goes. But maybe you guys are into that.
Easy Pauli…. I realized that Paul didn’t separate himself from the truther crowd.
I won’t remove your comments, because your entitled to your opinion. But try and keep the snide comments to yourself, please.
Thank you.
