I must confess… When I read this little gem, I let out a snort:
In an age when people are naturally preoccupied with the coldly rational reality of a troubled economy, it is reassuring to know that the finer details of political theology are still subject to debate. According to a recent statement out of the Vatican, President Obama appears to have a passing interest in medieval gnosticism. Father Raniero Cantalamessa, a preacher to the Pontifical Household, has stated that the president referred to Joachim of Fiore (1135-1202) at least three times in his speeches during his election campaign. This Cistercian abbot with a heretical reputation was praised by Obama as a “master of contemporary civilization” who sought to create a better world.
The reason why this strikes me as so funny is because during the election, there were so many people falling all over themselves declaring that Obama was some sort of “Born Again Believer.” I said at the time and I’ll say it again; According to which Bible? Not the one I read! That is for sure.
Judgmental? Hardly. I base what I say upon the Bible, and according to those standards, Obama falls dreadfully short.
In my fifty+ years on this planet raised in a ‘christian’ naiton i have found very very few chrisitans. For we are to denounce materialism and wealth,turn the other cheek,forgive,act unselfishly,judge not, and love our enemies as we are commanded to love one another. Who does this here? As Martin Luther King stated, america is the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today. As our violence washed upon foreign shores, expect a backwash on occasion. You think 911 was an action? It was a reaction to all our crap we do over seas that gets buried before most of us learn of it. Christianity? It is a concept that gets used to kill, torture,rendition,rob and if you dont understand it is time to hit the history books. Look in the mirror, my friend and remember the name of Pogo. When Israel was killing 247 children in Gaza with our weapons do you think christianity was served? As the fascist empire attacked,invaded and occupied iraq was christianity honored? It is an oxymoronic spin that is based on deception and it is an abomination.
We have churches raising flags over the exploits of the military,as God is on our side killing those who we label evil and i found that Gandhi said it best: I like your Christ, but your christians are so unchristlike. Not to say the jews or muslims are any different. Edicfication seems to be the goal and yet we lust after the sword to get there and that is not the message, is it? What fools these mortals be as they love to talk the talk but when they walk they trip over the blood of their crimes.
AMEN – If Yahushua (aka Jesus) were among us today it would probably go the same way it did approx 2000 years ago! He would most likely be executed by the Govt. at the Prompting of the Church!

Strange how those who preach and practice peace and non-violence in this world are themselves usually cut down by violence. And yet to give up the pursuit of non-violence is to the let violence win and even after 2000 years,the goal is still the same, the worth of the struggle for peace, justice,tolerance and mercy has not been diluted by those who distain it or by those who understand and struggle on. And who knows,as one little old man who wipes butts for a living saves his nickels and dimes to travel to Palestine with nothing more than his wit and pen to face violence with non-violence, hate with compassion,fear with fortitude,maybe with faith as large as a mustard seed,something may get accomplished. I have two sons who deserve,as well as everyone else a future that isnt stained by our violence, by our hate and debts. Isnt that what this is all about? The choice of action to an exemplary purpose for an altruistic cause, which is the measure of a persons worth? Yes Jesus is gone, Buddha is gone, Martin Luther is gone,so who is left but you and i,faint shadows of these great men,yet is it not our lot to carry on and try?
Be a candle in the blowing winds of fear,terrorism and darkness my friends for we don’t stand up,and shed the light,who will? Faith and hope are your shields and remember that courage and fortitude is not the absence of fear of the mob, of the majorities insanity, but rather the understanding and judgment that something else is more important that fear. To understand that one is doing the right thing in itself is a great victory,you should realize that.
The Nations Want Not Peace! Where’s the profit in that? How can the God of Wealth be served by peace? Why all men would then be equal! WE CAN’T HAVE THAT! Where is the slave to do the work? Where is the challenger to the one in a Haughty Position? Where is the fighter to entertain them by having his Brains Beaten out? Peace? Thou Mockest!

People want peace. Those poor slobs who slave under taxes, under the whip and tazer ofoverly-developed tyrannical police,under repressive laws designed to steal and control not uplift and safeguard. WE THE PEOPLE, want peace and demand that our resources go towards our future,to debt-paying to the purchase of pencils and paper,schools and health care for all, not for multi-billion dollar aircraft carriers we dont need, not for the rape profits that giant corporations covet and gather all in the name of threat,fear and terrorism. We want politicians who are not career minded buffoons who enjoy free 100% pensions,free top of the line health care for the rest of their lives, and their bloated salaries when they dont even work part-tiem for it. We dont want socialism for our servants,we dont want socialism for the rich and their conglomerates, we want socialism for us. And yet folks to have such as this, you must do your duty and exercise your right and overthrow taxation without representaion,we must kick out the bums and get rid of this diluted fascism they dare call democracy and bring back the republic ben franklin said we had,if we can keep it. We didnt keep it. A republic is when you and i are the politicians,we introduce and enact bills. We could do this by the internet. We introduce bills, and vote on them. We would no longer need good leaders who always get big-headed and corrupt by power, for then we would have good citizens who are engaged and involved in the governing. This is called swarming intelligence and it is de-centralized, it is fair, it is a pure republic.
