Obama’s Astroturfing

Here I go with my first post InstaPundit avalanche posting; wish me luck. 😉 Again, thanks to Glenn for that. I just hope like heck that I can live up to expectations of those who have bookmarked my site. 😮

First off, I did not watch the Obama Townhall, so, I have no bias in this story, at all. However, I do find it humorous that Obama is at the point of having to bus in supporters and use plants to get a friendly crowd, sounds like desperation to me.

The first AstroTurf proof is here. Michelle Malkin reports the that the Boston Globe writes the following:

A girl from Malden asked President Obama a question at Tuesday’s town hall meeting in New Hampshire about the signs outside “saying mean things” about his health care proposal.

Eleven-year-old Julia Hall asked: “How do kids know what is true, and why do people want a new system that can — that help more of us?”

The question opened the door for the president to respond to what he called an “underlying fear” among the public “that people somehow won’t get the care they need.”

The girl later told the Globe that picking the president’s brain was “incredible.”

“It was like a once in a lifetime experience,” she said.

Julia’s mother was an early Obama supporter in Massachusetts during the presidential election, so she had previously met First Lady Michelle Obama, the Obama daughters Sasha and Malia, and Vice President Joe Biden.

“This was my first time meeting Barack Obama, and he’s a very nice man,” Julia said. “I’m glad I voted for him.”

She said Obama won a mock presidential election at the Cheverus School in 2008. And on Tuesday, he approached her after the town meeting.

“He said ‘great question,’” Julia said. “I shook his hand and got his picture.”

Kathleen Manning Hall, Julia’s mother, was shocked when her daughter said she wanted to ask a question. They wrote it down beforehand, and Julia didn’t miss a beat when Obama called on her.

“It was surreal,” said Manning Hall, a coordinator of Massachusetts Women for Obama during the election.

However, there is a slight problem, I will let Michelle take it from here:

As we always like to point out: There are no coincidences in Obama world.

[….]

Tons of readers point to this AR15.com post tracking Hall’s political footprint, including this Facebook page and photo:

Manning Hall has donated thousands of dollars to Obama, as has her law firm.

But, you know, um, like Obama said: “I don’t want people saying I just have a bunch of plants in here.”

Oh, goodness. Of course not.

KABUKI!

***

Now, look for Dems to play the kiddie human shield card to the hilt. Anyone who mentions Hall’s political pedigree will be attacked as a vicious meanie stalker. Graeme Frost redux!

Now why am I not surprised that this happened. A Healthcare bill, of whom support is dropping like a rock. No wonder the President is desperate.

Oh, but that is not all!

Jim Hoft over at Gateway Pundit has more…:

Bus-ted…
Team Obama bussed in their supporters for the socialized health care meeting yesterday in New Hampshire:

Local WMUR has the full video report from the rally.
HotAirPundit has a photo.

The hundreds of anti-Obamacare protesters waited out in the rain.

Funny… During the meeting Barack Obama told his supporters:

“I don’t want people thinking I just have a bunch of plants in here.”

No, we sure wouldn’t want that to happen.
People might think the town hall was just a staged dog and pony show.

That is because it was a staged dog and pony show; to shore up support for the idiotic health-care plan that this idiotic Administration is trying to get rammed through Congress. I believe that this is all going to backfire in the face of Congress and the President and that his numbers are going to tank, as they are doing right now. As I have written on here before, this is all just a part of the massive overreach by this Administration. They have overreached terribly and now they are trying desperately to cover for it. The problem is, the genie is out of the bottle, the independent Americans have totally turned against this awful idea of the Congress and yes, the President. The smartest thing that the Congress and Senate can do, is kill this bill and either rethink things or just forget it. Americans are just not ready for European socialism.
