What happened to the American Left? Well, for one, too many Americans saw that marxism/socialism did not work. For another, what with all the blogs and alternative news media, the lapdog media does not now have monopoly control over the flow of information, so the people are exposed to the other side of the story, not just to the narrative that cage liners like the NYT want the people to hear/read.
Americans have seen enough to know that E. O. Wilson was correct about marxism: wonderful theory, wrong species. Although Wilson was woefully wrong about so many things, the was right about marxism: it is suited only to insects like ants, bees, and wasps.
Very true! Glad to see that I am not the only person who feels that way. 😀
